Justus Neumann's stellar performance in net was the difference.Adam Delgado opened the scoring in the first period off a pass from Sean Reynolds. Tyler Slomkowski scored on a backhand shot in the second period. Billy McCarthy, Lukas Szabo and Brendan Stanley also added assists.
Heading into the third period the huskies led 2-0. Montclair State stepped up their attack, scoring their only goal on a breakaway slapshot by Theodore Battaglia. Justus Neuman shut the door from then on out, making several big saves, and leading UConn to their second win in as many days.
The win improves UConn to 11-7-4 overall.
